More than a year later....

What up blog world??? So yes. It's been a while since I wrote. Well, not write. That's what I do for a living. But, it's been a while since I've written something just for fun (aka - something not related to city council which makes my head hurt a little).

So here I present you the most important things that have happened since January of 2008.

1) I got married. That's right - someone is willing to deal with my crazy ass forever. Awesome

2) I moved and am getting ready to move again. Come visit me. We'll be in Uptown - by the Running Room, Green Mill and Spyhouse. Why I mention all these 3 at once? Green Mill = awesome happy hour with delicious chicken wings. The Running Room encourages me to run off those delicious chicken wings. Oh, and if it doesn't because the happy hour was too much fun, the Spyhouse is there to cure all hangovers.

3) I've decided to go back to school and now do nothing besides study for my GREs. That's right world. Wish me luck. I'm gonna help youth have positive body image and intervene with self-esteem issues before they make bad choices.

4) I bought the sweetest bike in the world. Then it got stolen. Hence #2. I hate my apartment.

5) I started eating meat again (if that wasn't obvious from No.2) This is important because it brings back buffalo wings, sushi and juicy lucy's from Matt's. Who doesn't want that?

OK. I'm sure there's more than just these things. But I hate really, really long blog posts. So - I'm gonna wrap it up and attempt to write something almost every day.

I leave you with this:

I don't know what this is. But I hope it's never in my bathtub.

oh hell yeah

So this is 2 days in a row. not bad. decided to discuss something that bothers me. one sided news. seriously. KQRS - not so good. listening this morning to Tom and the crew make fun of people in Hati that need to eat mud to feel full because they are poor and can't afford real food. Like for real? That's not actually funny or something to criticize at all. Just thowing my opinion out there. Oh, and also, the degrading of women is getting on the last nerve too.

not so much

That's what happened with this whole blog idea. but, now with some encouragement from the MNA's, i'm going to try blogging a bit more before i pack it up and do it for the paper.
in the past two months or so there's been: christmas, which meant going to the cabin, new year's, which meant going to jenny's, shopping, working out, reading a ton of books, working, dealing with 1-800-CHEV-USA and realizing why i hate deadling with automated "help lines" and why my car is a giant piece.
Let's see...there's also been seeing Juno (which is possibly the best movie of the year), bowling and learning that when chris wears checkered pants with white bowling shoes it look like 1974 threw up on him.

next week i'm going to look at dresses. i can't wait. peace.

My toes are still cold

So it's been a little while since i last wrote. here's what's been, in descending order of yesterday, work, gym, turkey, beer, work, work, work, more gym, coffee, coffee, hot tea, drunk dancing on table, halloween. the end.

i woke up today, turned on the news and learned it was -5 with the windchill (it was a whopping 9 without). Ran outside to warm up jellybean, and as soon as the car turned on (which required going in thru the passenger side door since the driver's side has already began to freeze over during the night) a Prince song came on. Damn. i live in Minnesota.

one more tid bit of info for the day. according to some crappy radio station i was listening to this morning (feel free to take a pick between 94.5 and 97.1, hey, at least they play music in the mornings too) minnesota is rated the 6th happiest place to live. other states included south dakota (i think they were no. 1 and iowa). but guess who's like no. 4? jersey. that's interesting since most people that live there are mean and rude. maybe they're all so happy because a) they think they are better than everyone or b) they actually know how to drive (sorry MN, you lose on this one. 95 percent of this state needs to learn where the gas pedal is)

This:

plus this:

equals happiness.

they took my blood

today's halloween...so that makes me happy. but i'm sad cause i forgot to wear my skull t-shirt.
aside from that - i went to the doctor today and they took my blood. i think i want it back.

and who better to say "happy halloween" than Captain Spaulding :)

sometimes my head falls off

this normally happens for one of two reason:

1) i watch so much law and order that my mind can't take it anymore. especially once i remember that Fred Thompson is actually running for president.

2) when i try to cram too much into a day. for example: today will be filled with 8 hours of work, coffee with katy, cleaning the bathroom, making lunches for tomorrow (it actually takes 15 minutes some days), possibly digging the sweaters out of the closet, and probably another 15 things i just can't remember right now.

and the moments that everyone needs in life: my feelings on the past three movies i've seen in theaters.
1) Gone, Baby Gone: awesome because a certain type of person that i feel doesn't deserve the same air as me actually gets shot in the head
2) 30 Days of Night: good for a vampire movie, bad on if it was meant to be scary
3) A Nightmare Before Christmas - 3D - i don't agree with chris that this was tim burton screwing me again, cause it wasn't. it was pure cinema magic. i got to sing that halloween song, while wearing big, ugly glasses that made pumpkins appear to jump at my face. if that's not what awesome is, then i don't know what is.
